Functional sculpture rooted in the desert southwest. Every instrument — and everything it plays through — a singular object.
Part of the Art you can feel. collection
Explore the CollectionDeseo West was born from a belief that the finest instruments should also be the most beautiful objects in the room. Not in spite of their function — because of it.
Each instrument is conceived as a piece of functional art: hang it above the fireplace, lean it in the corner of your study, or play it. It was built for both. It was built for neither compromise.
Inspired by the raw texture of the Southwest — canyon walls, bleached timber, turquoise unearthed from the earth — every Deseo West instrument carries the landscape in its grain. And soon, the amplifier it was born to play through will carry it further still.
Each body undergoes Shou Sugi Ban — an ancient Japanese charring technique — before a whitewash finish draws the grain into relief. No two results are alike.
In place of a logo, each headstock receives a hand-set turquoise inlay — one of a kind, sourced from the Southwest, chosen for that instrument alone.
Hardware and pickups curated from the finest independent makers — Lollar, Stonewall, Migas Touch. The tone is as considered as the finish.
Top-quality tonewoods. Roasted for stability and resonance. Finished by hand. Each Deseo West instrument is priced from $2,500 — not as a luxury markup, but as a reflection of what genuine craft costs when nothing is compromised.
Every instrument ships with a hand-selected leather strap, some featuring one-of-a-kind native jewelry elements. The complete object, considered from headstock to strap end — and soon, to the amplifier it was matched to play through.
"The desert doesn't decorate itself. It simply exists — raw, textured, and impossibly beautiful. That's the instrument we're trying to make."
Deseo WestEvery Deseo West instrument will eventually be offered alongside its matched amplifier — conceived, built, and finished as a unified pair. Same wood. Same fire. Same hand.
Not a guitar and an amp. One instrument in two parts — the voice and the room it fills.
